The third edition of php[world] will be held in Washington, D.C., November 14-18 and organizers have published the finalized schedule. According to conference co-chair Eli White, the number of people submitting WordPress-related topics caused the organization team to create a double-sized WordPress track for this year’s event. The conference, which aims to bring together the various sub-communities that are linked by the PHP programming language, will feature 12 WordPress sessions, 8 dedicated to Drupal, 7 to Laravel, and 4 to Magento. Of the 126 unique speakers who submitted to php[world] (not counting the invited keynote speakers), 46 were accepted through the call for papers. Organizers received nearly 500 conference submissions, many of which were WordPress-related. White said the team worked hard this year to get the word out to the WordPress community through reaching out to various user groups and media outlets.
“The WP development community is strong and responded in kind!” he said. “When we were assembling the schedule, we put an emphasis on having extra WordPress talks so that we’d have an excellent base for WordPress folks.”
