The WordPress plugins I’m going to discuss below will address the site optimization issue but not your hosting. If your site is still super slow after installing these 3 WordPress plugins you might want to take a look at switching to a new host.
Image compression is very important for having a speedy site. This is especially true if you have an image-based or image-heavy website. After you install the plugin it will scan your media library and compress all the images you already have uploaded. Going forward it will compress any new images at the time you post them.
Don’t worry about it messing up your image quality or damaging the user experience. It’s not going to change how images look to
